It's a mixed media artwork on acrylic glass in the size 120 x 80 cm by the artist Günter Konrad commissioned by Europark Entwicklungs- und Betriebsges.m.b.H.

Konrad merges fragments of photographs, drawings, collages and spray paintings in his work. These analogue pictures are digitized and liquefied in the melting pot of bits and bytes. In the artistic revision, these codes result in a new whole, with the aim of connecting opposite worlds and thus creating something new. The Europark work plays with the contrast between clear, geometric, architectural lines and free, unrestrained, accentuated lines. Clear, radiant light (from the object) is surrounded by opaque light (the surroundings). Elegance and realness. Modern timelessness.

Konrad also integrated fragments of Jonathan Borofsky's sculpture "The Tree" into his work by picking up the helical form of the sculpture and reassembling it. Thus, the "Europark DNA" grows up from the "overdrawn" architecture and is thus firmly inscribed as a brand over the building and connects the form with the content.

Dear collectors, as events such as trade fairs or markets will not be possible in the next few weeks and months, I would like to give you my canvas prints on stretcher frames, which I have in stock in my studio in Salzburg, in this eBook.

This special “Market Edition” is my passion in terms of print quality and rendering of colors (UV-resistant latex ink) in combination with feel and structure. The result is a successful interplay of old and new. State-of-theart printing technology paired with an FSC-certified real wood frame made of spruce.

The prices listed include VAT. In order to calculate the shipping costs, please let me know your desired picture under Contact and give your delivery address, then I will contact you personally as always and let you know the price including shipping. For Austria, depending on the image size and weight, this is between 20 - 25 euro.

At the beginning of the year I got the order to create a Frida Kahlo picture.

I first painted over the original black+white image and then abstracted, retouched and colored it. It was important to me to set the first color nuances and to let the picture appear in colors, which then also shaped the entire picture composition. A kind of wall/graffiti structure forms the contrast to the figure in the foreground. Here I worked out delicate lines and subtle, warm color areas and then added scratches and graffiti. Another idea came with the floral decoration in the hair. It gives the picture something slightly surreal and is intended to symbolize the delicate, fragile, the beautiful ephemeral with a certain ease, joie de vivre. Fragments of butterflies, dew drops and flower blossoms complete the overall picture.

I did this commissioned work a few months ago. The artwork is based on the idea to look through a window and the surroundings are reflected in the window, resulting in overlaps and a "dreamlike" picture of reality from the real environment. In my p… — I did this commissioned work a few months ago.

The artwork is based on the idea to look through a window and the surroundings are reflected in the window, resulting in overlaps and a "dreamlike" picture of reality from the real environment. In my picture I tried to combine old (from historical postcards) and new pictures of the main square, different perspectives, into a larger whole.

You can see fragments of house facades, especially of the famous baroque Luegg House, which appears twice in the picture, but also the main square ensemble, as well as an insight into Sporgasse, the Archduke Johann fountain, and a part, namely the clock and the substructure, of the clock tower. Furthermore, the Archduke can be seen in the picture on the right, which forms an axis of vision to the center, where the word "rent" is located. I tried to contrast the whole composition with my fragmentary graffiti and street art styles. There are also macro shots of posters, for example in the upper right, which are intended to create an abstract landscape structure. Wall fragments, tags, fragmentary signs (in the middle a kind of "drop heart") should move the eye to wander in order to find new, small details again and again.

The color composition is bright, joyful, life-affirming and the green of GRAWE appears.
